What the Latin America (LATAM) Sr. Marketing Manager contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the design, development, implementation and coordination of marketing plans for specific product, product line or product areas. Design, develop and implement deliverables such as product specifications, branding and launch strategies per New Product Development procedures and Launch Excellence guidelines within the assigned region. Conduct competitive analyses and assists in the development of specific marketing strategies.

  • Executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure profitable growth and expansion of company products and/or services
  • Core team representation as commercial and customer VOC on internal product development teams, also responsible for launch planning.
  • Business Development – source and diligence external opportunities that move their franchises forward.
  • Commercial Integration – partnering cross-regionally to identify best commercial practices to accelerate penetration.
  • Interacts with sales force and customers to develop in‑depth product market knowledge in order to anticipate market changes and trends and to seek new ideas for improvement of existing products and new products
  • Analyzes product sales performance, product costs and profitability of products. Makes recommendations regarding product performance vs. cost. Assists in the development of product marketing and product pricing strategies
  • May develop and recommend pricing strategy for the product(s), which will result in the greatest share of the market over the long run
  • lans and oversees the advertising and promotion activities for assigned product(s)
  • Collaborates across the organization to establish on ongoing campaigns adhering to compliant based processes
  • Manages and communicates with outside agencies and vendors regarding present and future campaigns.
  • Works with writers and artists and oversees copywriting, design, layout, paste-up, and production of promotional materials
  • Coordinates LATAM product launches in coordination internal and external customers
  • Ensures effective control of marketing activities within designated budgets. Establishes KPI's to measure campaign effectiveness
  • Interacts with various departments to assist in the development and implementation of product development activities. Coordinates solutions to product problems and recommends actions to anticipate and prevent future problems
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
  • Fosters compliant behaviors. Adheres to Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable markets
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field. MA/MS preferred.
  • 8+ years proven successful marketing experience within med device industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the medical device marketplace usually associated with successful experience in Latin America
  • Fully bilingual - English/Spanish. Portuguese a plus.
  • Travel requirements:<50%
  • Solid proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word suite.
  • Program management experience.
