What Talent Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Talent Management is responsible for processes, programs and tools in the disciplines of employee engagement, talent assessment, competency identification, performance management, leadership and high-potential development, succession planning, assignment management, organizational design and team effectiveness and coaching - to develop leaders and build bench strengths to meet the current and future business needs of Cardinal Health while enabling a positive culture.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of talent management theories, practices and solutions.
  • Builds, implements and manages integrated programs and systems to attract, develop, engage and retain talent.
  • Provides talent management recommendations and solutions to all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
  • Identifies and partners with vendors to deliver optimal solutions that meet the organizations quality and cost standards.

Accountabilities

This role owns the Career Roadmap process and project manages the Talent & Succession Planning processes. This role also provides client support to our Global Commercial Medical Segment Talent Cohort and our Enterprise IT and Customer Services Support organization within our Sustain & Enable cohort. In addition, this role also provides Talent Management thought leadership to the Canada, APAC and EMEA regions. Responsibilities include:

  • Execute the design of Talent Management programs and processes

  • Serve as a project manager for all Talent & Succession Planning processes

  • Manage timeline and communication plans of Talent Planning activities

  • Create process training for HRBPs and the enterprise
  • Own HRIS/Workday partnership
  • Support enterprise talent discussions

  • Creation of Talent Action Register content

  • Facilitate Talent Acquisition and Talent Management Collaboration meetings
  • Create Board of Directors materials
  • Create Executive Committee, Operating Committee and Enterprise Sales Talent Council materials
  • Own, build, project manage and execute Cardinal Health’s Career Roadmap

  • Create business case with Compensation Career Roadmap lead

  • Manage existing Career Roadmap requests
  • Create and implement new Career Roadmap
  • Responsible for the development and execution of HR Business Partner capability building for both Talent Planning and Career Roadmap
  • Thought-partner with VP HR Business Partners and the business leaders they support within client groups

  • Serve as a Talent Management liaison for client group- connecting all of the in-scope work of Talent Management (i.e. employee engagement, leader effectiveness, assessment tools, leadership development programs, performance management, talent planning, talent strategies and philosophies, etc.)

  • In partnership with respective Talent Management Director, provides support for the Executive Committee, Operating Committee and Enterprise Sales Talent Councils
  • Responsible for deep knowledge of talent at the Director and Vice President levels
  • Facilitate New Leader Acceleration sessions for Senior Vice Presidents (as needed/requested by HR Business Partners)
  • Serve as a 360 coach, StrengthsFinder ambassador and Hogan coach for the enterprise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in Talent Management or an HR Business Partner related role
  • Certified StrengthsFinder, 360 and Hogan preferred
  • Subject matter expertise in Talent processes
  • Strong project management and implementation abilities
  • Ability to influence
  • Change management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to turn talent theory into action
  • Ability to interact with Senior level leadership
  • Develops strong relationships
  • Strong Business Partner skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
