This is a PRN role that is as needed per the needs of the business. C overs PTO for our current Technicians with varying hours on the weekends and weekdays 2pm-7pm. Schedule will be known in advance.

Hospital Pharmacy Technician Remote Order Entry

Through our remote service, we serve acute-care hospitals, providing you an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is currently searching for a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacy technician to join our remote pharmacy team. The pharmacy technician is responsible for answering the telephone, handling calls from hospital staff and assisting pharmacists with order entry operations. This position requires you to work within our licensed pharmacy and not from your home.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist Pharmacists and other Technicians with daily tasks
  • Handle doctor calls and faxes
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers
  • Works on projects as requested by Pharmacy Director
  • Performs order entry as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting and/or retail, preferred
  • 3+ years related experience, preferred
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be registered or licensed as required by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • National certification is preferred
