What Program and Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health:

Program & Project Management is responsible for playing a key/critical role in realizing business value through the application of project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project objectives.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.‚Äč
  • Monitors performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments; connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case.
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion.
  • Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
  • Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals.
  • Provides input to contracts, reviews contracts to ensure completeness of scope and appropriate accountability based on role and/or responsibility.
  • Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.

We are looking for a Program Manager that is a highly adaptive individual and an expert in managing a portfolio of projects within cross-functional organizations. In this role, the program manager will scope large-scale projects, advocate for the correct level of cross-functional support, lead execution of multiple projects, identify and mitigate risks, and provide bi-weekly updates to senior business leaders.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage full project life-cycle (requirements, scope, schedule, resources, testing, quality, release, costs, changes) for a portfolio of cross-functional, company-wide projects.
  • Drive and lead projects to navigate through ambiguity and find solutions.
  • Identify critical program milestones and options to mitigate risks.
  • Pro-actively build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and project stakeholders.
  • Organize and communicate complex information to wide audiences clearly and simply to drive actions.
  • Manage and lead the resolution of difficult stakeholder issues.
  • Work with business leaders to create key success and control metrics for each project

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience in related field preferred
  • Strong formal project management experience preferred
  • Project Management software experience preferred
  • Experience implementing large scale projects preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Travel to Twinsburg, OH could be required on a weekly basis depending on candidate location
