Reporting to the Pharmaceutical segment Vice President of Strategic Pricing, the Director of Pricing Operations, leads the implementation, execution and continued improvement of pricing operations across the different business segments to ensure accurate, complete, and efficient commercial activity. The role partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations leaders to ensure customer contracts are implemented and adjusted appropriately through the lifecycle of the customer contract.

Position Responsibilities

The leader of Pharma Segment Pricing Operations will be responsible for timely and accurate execution of:

  • Governance of pricing and deal strategy guidance and controls through Pricing Controllers
  • Pricing setup and maintenance for nets, segments, exceptions and other pricing mechanisms
  • Drive successful implementation of pricing strategies, monitor key metrics and improve performance on an ongoing basis
  • Routinely collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deepen understanding of pricing capabilities, limitations, and opportunities to enhance process and performance
  • Establish, maintain and adhere to policies and procedures for managing pricing
  • Contract COGs Compliance
  • Act as the pricing controls expert and liaison for SOX and Internal/External Audit purposes
  • Pricing systems and tools optimization and integration through PMOD
  • Lead, manage, coach, and develop 12 person team, and extended team members across Pricing, Finance and other functions

Position Qualifications

  • BA/BS required. Advanced degree in business or technical field preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong capabilities in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Pricing, Operations
  • Superior ability to interact and influence across a large organization
  • Proven ability to develop business cases and communicate value of improvements, process, and investments.
