Cardinal Health Mgr, Clinical Applications in Chicago, Illinois

This role is responsible for the component life cycle management within procedural packs. It includes the clinical review, life cycle management, and data management of components within procedural packs. The role includes the management of one employee. This role will report to the VP of Supply Chain, but will transition to Product Marketing in the future. This role works closely with marketing, sourcing and sales operations, sales, and supply chain.

Includes:

  • Chair a cross functional committee responsible for the “form, fit, and function” review on discontinued/no longer carried components, marketing harmonization efforts, sourcing initiatives, component substitutions needed for back order situations, and proactive identification of substitute components needed for supply continuity. Includes the management of one employee who is the committee administrator.
  • Clinical review for sourcing and marketing component workshops.
  • Component cross referencing and data responsibilities for signature savings, image guidelines, key words, etc.
  • Gatekeeper for requests to add new components to the parts base. Includes development of approval guidelines.
  • Evaluate all parts of the component lifecycle to identify opportunities for process efficiencies, and sku rationalization.
  • Other clinical expertise and project management needs as required internally by the business.
  • Travel 25% -30%

Education/Experience Expectations

  • Undergrad required
  • Registered Nurse licensure preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 6 – 8 years experience in the Operating Room
  • Hands on experience with products regarding clinical acceptability and fiscal responsibility
  • Experience working with clinicians and physicians collaboratively on product and practice improvements
  • Experience with procedural pack programs a plus.
