Cardinal Health Sr General Ledger Accountant in Alajuela, Costa Rica

What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health

This position is responsible for the coordination and accurate completion of the accounting month end process. This person is responsible for accurate financial statements reporting process in Colones for local authorities such as PROCOMER or Ministerio de Hacienda. This person is responsible to consolidate all information requested from Internal and External Audit. This person works closely with Plant Controller and Finance Manager for statutory advice and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries and account analysis.

  • Prepare and submit Balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Prepare, review and submit when required tax returns (D151, D101, D152).

  • Prepare and submit ProcomerĀ“s Annual Report.

  • Improve accounting processes and solve complex accounting transactions.

  • Prepare financial reports for Corporate related to tax, intercompany transactions, and flux analysis in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Leading external audits (PROCOMER, regulatory authorities).

  • Control and supervise the financial statements translation (currency) for local presentation.

  • Prepare and estimate Cash Forecast for Corp.

  • Support Fixed Assets and Accounts Payable accountants to solve any technical issue.

  • Support Plant Controller and Finance Manager in different projects.

  • Any other task related to accounting requested by Management.

Qualifications

  • Accounting/Finance Bachelor's degree

  • +5 years of related experience in accounting for Free Trade Zone companies.

  • Microsoft Office Applications, Excel is a must

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (BPCS, JDE, SAP)

  • English Level B2

  • CPI is a must, CPA is a plus
